Driving Innovation in Industry: Chairing the “Industrial Digital Transition” Session at #2IRD2

Last week, I had the honor of chairing the “Industrial Digital Transition” session at the Icam International Research Days 2025 (#2IRD2), held on the vibrant Strasbourg-Europe campus.

Over two intense and inspiring days, the event brought together a diverse community of researchers, PhD students, faculty, industry experts, and international partners to exchange ideas, challenge assumptions, and co-create the future of research and innovation.

The Icam International Research Days is more than just a conference; it’s a collaborative platform that highlights the growing importance of applied research and international cooperation. As someone deeply involved in bridging academia and industry, chairing a session dedicated to digital transformation in industrial contexts was both a privilege and a responsibility.

The session I chaired focused on one of the challenges of our time: how to guide industrial ecosystems through digital transformation while maintaining human values, environmental responsibility, and operational excellence.

We explored key topics, such as those we can see in the program Link

As a session chair, I was proud to facilitate exchanges that weren’t just technical, but also strategic and visionary.

🙏 A big thank you to all the presenters, attendees, and the organizing team from Icam Strasbourg-Europe. Let’s keep pushing the boundaries together.
